Over the last several decades both the Democratic and Republican parties have been a disappointment to organized labor.  Union support for Democratic candidates has created a one-party system that no longer represents the interests of workers in the American industrial base.  Republicans who do support industrial base workers, once elected, constantly attack the unions and the laws set in place to protect them.

Industrial unions now face a dilemma:  If they vote Democrat they lose their jobs and the industries that employ them.  If they vote Republican, they could lose their union.

The loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs is directly related to a two-party system where neither party is protecting the industrial base essential to America’s economic and national security.  This issue is at the heart of the election of 2016.
